Richard Rodgers

Richard Stan Rodgers, 57, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Greenwood, and a son of Dorothy Trotter Rodgers and the late Edward Eugene Rodgers. He worked at Milliken in Johnston as an industrial tech. Mr. Richard will be remembered for his passion for nature, his steady hand with a bow, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. He was a member of Richland Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Richard spent much of his life in the woods and on the water. He found peace and purpose in the outdoors whether it was the stillness of a quiet morning fishing or the thrill of tracking game through the forest. Hunting and fishing were not just hobbies to him they were a way of life.

One of his greatest passions was archery. Mr. Richard was an avid bowhunter and a proud, active member of the Midland 3D Archery Club, where he found a second family among fellow enthusiasts. He cherished the camaraderie of the club, the friendly competitions, and the quiet focus of the range. Whether helping a newcomer find their aim or hitting bullseyes in 3D tournaments, he embodied the spirit of the sport.

Surviving alongside his mother are two daughters, Johnna Rodgers Green (Neal) and Alivia Leigh Rodgers, a brother, David Scott Rodgers (Alicia Bailey), three grandchildren, Elaina Lea Green, Riley O'Neal Green, Jr., and Dallas Claire Green, and a nephew, Joshua Daniel Bailey.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday evening, October 23, 2025, at Ramey Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Saluda Memorial Gardens with Rev. George Johnson officiating.
