R.L. Griffith's Obituary
Robert Luther "R.L." Griffith, 65, died Monday, May 12, 2014.
Born in Saluda County, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Alma Bush Griffith. Mr. Griffith was instrumental in starting Christ Central in Saluda and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He always had a welcoming smile and was cheerful and appreciative. He was good hearted willing to lend a hand and known for showing respect for others who passed. He will surely be missed by everyone.
Surviving are two brothers, Johnny Lee Griffith of Saluda and James Benjamin Hallback of Easley and three sisters, Norma Richey of Woodruff, Shelby Jean Davis of Liberty, TN and Barbara Ann Hallback of Greenville.
A Memorial service will be held 1 pm, Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Hopewell Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Park Sterling Bank in Robert L. Griffith Memorial Fund, 200 N. Main St., Saluda, SC 29138 or to Christ Central in Saluda, 208 N. Main St., Saluda, SC 29138.
