Robert John Campbell

Robert John Campbell, 60, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was a son of the late Frank Martin Campbell, Sr. and Shirley Mae Steffey Campbell and the devoted husband of Wilma Ilene Clark-Campbell. Mr. Campbell proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years before retiring from the Village of Palm Springs and the Town of Lexington.

He enjoyed watching television, especially movies featuring John Wayne, who reminded him of his father. He also had a love for riding motorcycles and cherished the time he spent with his granddaughter, especially taking her on trips and making special memories together. Above all, he loved his family and friends and treasured the time they shared.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Leah Campbell Salters (Jessie), a son, Robert Campbell, a sister, Belinda Carney (Donald), two brothers, Frank “Marty” Campbell, Jr. (Kimberley) and John Campbell (Jennifer), a granddaughter, Jeslie Salters, and four nephews and a niece.

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a sister, Maryann Campbell.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
