Robert Michael Clarke, 69, died June 3, 2016 at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont, Hospice House.

Born in Baltimore, MD and was a son of the late Charles Joseph Clarke, Sr. and Catherine Lee Reily Clarke, he was the husband of Idora Ann Hazel Clarke. Mr. Clarke was retired from the US Navy and was a Industrial Engineer. He was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church and the VFW.

Surviving are his wife, Idora Ann Hazel Clarke, two sons, John Canady, Jr. (Lorie Calhoun) and Keyma Clarke (Jody) both of Saluda, two daughters, Tori Brown (Jody) of Greenwood and LaNae Johnson of Batesburg, three brothers, Chuck Clarke of Kolna, IA, Phillip Clarke of Wagner and George Clarke of Langley and thirteen grandchildren.

Mr. Clarke was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Madalynn Anne Smith.

A Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Shuler officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
