Robert "Bob" Crawford

Robert "Bob" Crawford, 88, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at Hospice House and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late John Samuel Crawford and Annie Mae Lott Crawford, he was the husband of Sara Nell Smith Crawford. Mr. Crawford served in the South Carolina National Guard, 122nd Engineer Company in Saluda and was a retired inspector with the United States Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sara Nell Smith Crawford, a son, Robert Blane Crawford (Nancy) of Sebastian, FL, a sister, Mary Helen Duffie of Saluda, three grandchildren, Catherine Carlie Crawford, Sara Ellyn Basknight (Tommy) and Joshua Blane Crawford (Janice), seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Crawford, three sisters, Carrie Lou Quattlebaum, Edna Cogburn and Mable Crawford, six brothers, William Crawford, Herman "Tence" Crawford, Joe Crawford, Gary Eugene Crawford, James Henry Crawford and Thomas "Top" Crawford, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Beauford and Rev. Lee Going officiating. Interment will follow in Mayson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
