Roger "Bo" Crouch, Jr.

Roger Hughes "Bo" Crouch, Jr., 83, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at North Carolina Basnight Cancer Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.

Roger was born in Woodruff, SC, and was the son of the late Roger Hughes Crouch, Sr., and Dorothy Ballenger Crouch. Roger graduated from Clemson Agricultural College where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry Science. He retired after 34 years of service as a county supervisor and district director with the United States Department of Agriculture. Roger served 37 years of military service as a US Army Veteran and retired Lt. Colonel from the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of Saluda Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon and Elder, and a member of The American Legion.

Roger will always be remembered as an avid gardener where he happily shared the fruits of his labor with friends and family. His favorite pastime was spending time with his friends and always looking forward to his next fishing trip.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Gresham Crouch; a son, Roger Hughes Crouch, III. (Veronica) of Canton, GA, three daughters, Martha Lynn Perry (Don) of Saluda, Lorena Crouch Gibbons (Brian) of Chester, Lucy Jacqueline Hendrix (Chad) of Batesburg, two step-daughters, Paige Bullock Dunn and Dorothy Bullock Playforth both of Willington, NC, a step-son, John C. Bullock of Charleston, WV, three sisters, Sandra Payne, Jackie Merchant, both of Columbia, Jennifer Derrick of Saluda, eight grandchildren, Rachel Perry Stoner, Rebekah Perry Comer, Matthew Perry, Mason Gibbons, Mitchell Gibbons, Marshall Gibbons, Noah Hendrix, Maddie Hendrix, and one great-granddaughter, Libby Stoner.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 30, 2023, at Saluda Presbyterian Church with Rev. Allen Derrick officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church social hall. Interment will be private.
