Ronnie Michael Nichols

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Ronnie Michael Nichols at 11 o'clock on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Corinth Evangelical Lutheran Church, 638 Corinth Road, Saluda, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Corinth Evangelical Lutheran Church, c/o Connie N. Lake, 406 Kempson Bridge Road, Saluda, SC 29138 or to a charity of one's choice.

Mike to his family and friends, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 29, 2018. He was the second son of the late Ione Sinclair and Grady Eugene Nichols born April 11, 1950. A 1968 graduate of Hollywood High School, where he was a active member of the FFA and basketball team. He was a lifetime and faithful member of Corinth. He was a second baseman and pitcher for the church's fast pitch softball team. He was actively involved in 4-H as a teenager and was on the State 4-H Dairy Judging team. He was a Clemson sports fan, and enjoyed coaching the Corinth girls softball teams. Water sports on Lake Murray was a favorite past time with cousins and friends, as was, listening and shagging to beach music.

A business partner and the early morning milking assistant for 45 years with Nichols and Longshore Dairy, Inc. He managed the Registered Holstein show team for the family farm and was always looking for the better genetic cow that would strengthen the herd.

Mike is survived by nephews, Chad Taylor Nichols (Tasha), William Ryan Nichols (Casey), sister in law, Mary Nichols Coleman (Buddy), dear cousins, Heath Nichols (Jessica) and Paige Nichols Crawford (Harrison), close friend, Gebie Forrest and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ione and Grady Nichols; wife, JoAnne Hamilton Nichols and older brother, Gilbert Eugene Nichols.

The family expresses their gratitude to caregiver, Kendra Tucker for her loving care and patience during this past year.
