Roy W. Kennerly, 68, of 43 Laurel Oak, Amelia Island, Florida died September 26, 2016 at St. Simon's Island, Georgia.

Born May 12, 1948 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Roy W. Kennerly, Sr. and Jimmie M. Forrest Kennerly. Roy graduated from Saluda High School, Class of 1966, Wingate College and Baptist College of Charleston with a degree in Business. He was in the import business for many years and owned Competitive Edge in Blackshear, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by a son, Kenneth F. Kennerly.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Walt and Brandi Kennerly, four grandchildren, Heyward, Hudson, Mabry and Polly Kennerly of St. Simon's Island, Georgia and a sister, Margaret A. Kennerly of Greenwood, SC.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 28, at 11:00 at First Baptist Church, Brunswick, Georgia with Dr. Larry Wilbur officiating. There will be a private burial at Emory United Methodist Church, Saluda, SC. Visitation will be held at Ramey Funeral Home in Saluda on Friday, September 30 from 11:00 to 1:00.
