Roy Rodgers
Roy Rodgers, 78, died Monday, March 7, 2022 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.
Born in Saluda County on October 14, 1943, and a son of the late Thomas Jefferson Rodgers and Irene Forrest Rodgers, he was the husband of Kay Vereen Rodgers. Mr. Rodgers was retired after 35 years as head mechanic at Titan Farms.
Surviving are his wife, Kay Vereen Rodgers, a son, J.R. Rodgers of Ward, a daughter, Fetilca Rodgers (Katie) of Saluda, a sister, Peggy R. Cockrell (Harold) of Ward, two grandchildren, Ethan Rodgers and Zoey Rodgers, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rodgers was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel Rodgers, Doc Rodgers and J.T. Rodgers and a sister, Ruth Proctor.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022 at Swamp Fox Cemetery, 126 Green Forrest Lane, Ward, SC 29166. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
