Obituary

Edna Ruth Pow Crawford, 83, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Greenwood County and a daughter of the late Bulgar Garvin and Laura Auzelle Adams Pow, she was the wife of the late Doyle Kenneth Crawford. Mrs. Crawford was a graduate of Columbia Commercial College and was a homemaker. She was a member of Gassaway United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Janice Rushton (Michael) and Carolyn Merchant (Tony) both of Saluda and Elaine Friar (Jeff) of Matthews, NC, a sister, Peggy Brown (Paul) of Hodges, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by a daughter, Doyleen Crawford Bedenbaugh, two brothers, Willie Pow and Bill Pow and three sisters, Enoree Allen, Betty Schumpert and Ebbie McCarthy.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Gassaway United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Derrick officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
