Sadie Rushton

Sadie Elizabeth Easler Rushton, 93, died Friday, January 6, 2023 at her home.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Walter Palmer Easler and Fannie Josephine Grimsley Easler, she was the wife of the late John Lee Rushton. Mrs. Rushton was retired from Monsanto in Greenwood. She was a charter member of Faith Temple Holiness Church, where she taught Sunday school for over 60 years.

Surviving are a son, Colie Lee Rushton of Ninety Six, a grandson, John Lee Rushton, II (Michaela) of Ninety Six, a great-granddaughter, Madilynn Rushton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rushton was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Faith Temple Holiness Church with Rev. Danny Swinnea officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
