Sandra Unger

Sandra Faye Eargle Drader Unger, 79, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born on July 3, 1947 to the late Charles “Charlie” Walker Eargle and Reda Bernell Oswald Eargle, she was the wife of the late Bobby Drader and the late John Williamson Unger. Mrs. Unger was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and, when her health allowed, enjoyed attending services at Hopewell Congregational Church. She worked for many years at The Panorama Restaurant until their closing, then at Shoney’s in Greenwood before making the decision to remain at home and lovingly care for her husband. Her life was marked by her strong work ethic, caring heart, and devotion to her family.

Mrs. Unger found great joy in gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved watching things grow and took pride in the beauty she created around her home. Her faith, compassion, and love for those around her will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are a daughter, Martha Denise Rabon; a sister, Susan Eargle Landry (Brandon); a sister-in-law, Susan Eargle; three grandchildren, Justin Scott Edwards, Keara Leanne Rabon, and Kylie Rabon; and four great-grandchildren, Harper Edwards, Dreyson Brunson, Takoda Williams, and Kaius Williams.

Mrs. Unger was preceded in death by a son, Scott Drader and five siblings, Eric Lee Eargle, Charles Julian Eargle, Steven Lynnwood Eargle, Brooks Walker Eargle, and Reda Donnell Eargle.

The family will hold a celebration of life on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Unger.
