Sara Miller

Sara Lois Salter Miller, 81, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Fred M. Salter and Zora Rodgers Salter, she was the wife of Darrell "Snap" Emmette Miller. Mrs. Miller was retired from Farm Bureau and was a member of Nazareth Methodist Church.

Surviving alongside her husband of 62 years is a son, Schanen Miller (Sheila) of Prosperity, a daughter, Tiffany Pearson (Donnie) of Batesburg, a brother, Ollie Salter (Myrtle) of Batesburg and four grandchildren, Brendon E. Pearson, Derrick Chariker, Andrew Chariker (McLean) and Bailey Chariker.

The family wishes to thank the following staff members of Lutheran Hospice for their loving dedication and quality of care: Greg Estes (Executive Director), Dr. John Gould, III (Medical Director) Sheila Miller and Belinda Rushton (RNs), Loretta Hampton and Rosa Steinmetz (CNAs), Mary Beth Lamey (LIMSW), and Karen Young (Chaplin). We would also like to thank Dr. Mark Keisler for his assistance and two very special people, Sylvia Asbill and Vonda Ridge, for their devoted care and companionship to Mom and the entire family.

A casual memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Nazareth Methodist Church.
