Sarah Mae Minick Cockrell's Obituary
Sarah Mae Minick Cockrell, 94, died Friday, November 18, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late James Robert Minick and Sudie Elizabeth Rowe Minick, she was the wife of the late Thurmond Cockrell. Mrs. Cockrell was a retired seamstress with the Saluda Shirt Plant and a member of Faith Temple Church.
Surviving are a son, Ralph Cockrell of Saluda, a sister, Alice Taylor of Saluda, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Cockrell was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Cockrell and Donnie Cockrell, a brother, James Minick and a sister, Gladys Rinehart.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 at Faith Temple Church Cemetery.
