Sarah Lee Sudduth

Sarah Lee Wilson Sudduth, 93, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at Laurens County Hospice.

Born in Newberry County, and the daughter of the late Hayne Wilson and Janie Vaugh Wilson, she was the wife of the late Henry Harold Sudduth. Mrs. Sudduth retired from Saluda Shirt Plant. She was a member of Bachman Chapel in Prosperity and later moved her membership to Gassaway United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Harold Sudduth, a daughter, Sandra Minick both of Saluda, a sister, Estell Harmon of Newberry, four grandchildren, Burt Minick (Kelly), Kendell Sudduth, Cassie Martin (Chase) all of Saluda, and Jamie Field (Jeff) of Laurens, and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sudduth was preceded in death by five sisters, Katherin Parrish, Louise Summer, Janie Partain, Willie Mae Lown, and Bess Logue, and a brother, Hayne Wilson.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 12, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Sandra Minick, 2541 Long Road, Saluda, SC 29138.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
