Saluda, SC: Shirley Ann Berry Rodgers, 80, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at her residence.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Otis Odell and Esther Lee Leopard Berry, she was the wife of Homer Daniel "Buddy" Rodgers, Sr. Mrs. Rodgers was a homemaker and was a member of Beacon of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her whole life's ambition was to lead people to Christ.

Surviving are her husband, Homer Daniel "Buddy" Rodgers, Sr., a daughter, Patricia Matthews of Saluda, four sons, Danny Rodgers, Sr. (Tracy), David Rodgers (Amy), Joe Rodgers (Patricia) and Homer Rodgers, Jr. (Sheila) all of Saluda, a step-sister, Charlene Brown of Wrens, GA, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Hall, a son-in-law, Roger Matthews, two step-brothers, James Smith and Aubrey Smith and a step-sister Ethlyen Brown.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Church Clark and Rev. Boyd Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
