Sophronia "Fronie" Hawkins Jennings, 100, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Calvin Hawkins and Jessie Harmon Padgette, she was the wife of the late Tommie Brown Jennings. Mrs. Jennings was retired from the Saluda Shirt Plant and was the oldest member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Bobbie Jean Pratt (Conrad) of Batesburg and Peggie Ann Lee of N. Augusta, three grandchildren, Russell Lee (Teresa), Janice Pratt and Steve Pratt (Barbara) and three great-grandchildren, Michael Lee (Ashley), Jon Lee and Joshua Pratt.

Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by four brothers, Horace Hawkins, Berley Hawkins, Woodrow Hawkins and J.C. Hawkins, a son in-law, Dan Lee and a grandson, Tommy Lee.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Culbertson officiating. Interment will follow in Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery.
