Stacy Rude

Stacy Garrett Rude, 53, joined the Lord in Heaven on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

He was born June 6, 1970, in Greenwood, SC. He graduated from Saluda High School in 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lander University. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity at Lander. For years he worked alongside his dad, Harry Rude, at Bradley and Rude House Moving until he moved to Greenville, SC in 2008 to be close to his sister. He was a physical therapy office manager for years. When his dad went to be with the Lord, Stacy moved back to Saluda to be close to his mom. Most recently, he was a proud employee of Enlow Pest Control. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back and the last dollar he had. Stacy didn't value material things, but truly valued spending time with his friends and family. He loved playing guitar and singing with all of his band members throughout the years. Most of their music events were to raise money for locals in need or to raise money for the Shriners Children's Hospital.

Stacy has now joined his daddy, Harry Rude and his two closest friends, Michael Holt Metts and Jimmy Russell in Heaven.

Surviving are his mother, Donnette Enlow Rude of Saluda, his sister, Wendy Rude Rampey and brother-in-law, Jason Elliott Rampey of Greenville, two nephews, Samuel Thomas Rampey and Lucas Mathenson Rampey both of Greenville and his beloved Toyota 4 Runner.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed on this Earth, but we can be certain that we will see him again in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Preston Foxworth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the main entrance of the sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
