Saluda

Sudie Virginia Caldwell Berry , 93 died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Hobson and Phoebe Perry Caldwell, she was the wife of the late Joseph E. Berry. Mrs. Berry was a licensed cosmetologist and was retired from the Saluda Shirt Plant after many years of service. She was an active member of Deans Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are her children, Russell Berry (Denise) of Newberry, Norma Jean Corley (Johnny) of Saluda and Clay Berry (Debby) of Newberry, a sister, Joyce C. Harling of Edgefield, six grandchildren, Andrew Corley and Ashley Corley Chrisley (Danny) both of Saluda, Jami Berry, Joseph Berry, Courtney Berry and Colby Berry all of Newberry, three great-grandchildren, Cooper Chrisley of Saluda, Bentley Ceja and Logan Ceja both of Newberry and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by three brothers, Heyward Caldwell, Ted Caldwell and Hubert Caldwell and three sisters, Elizabeth Forrest, Willard Bickley and Ozie Krell.

Funeral services will be held 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Deans Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Burton Campbell and Rev. Tim Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Berry.
