Sue Williams

Sue Dixon Williams, 89, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Born in Chester County and a daughter of the late Cecil L. Dixon and Maurice Roddey Dixon, she was the wife of Wilbur Dean Williams. Mrs. Williams was a retired secretary of Red Bank Baptist Church having served from March 1969 to September 1990. She was owner and operator of C & S Ceramics in Lexington and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Wilbur Dean Williams, two daughters, Cynthia W. Davis of Johnston and Fern W. Potter of Lexington, two sons, Kelly D. Williams (Donna) of Manassas, Virginia and Bennie Williams of Aiken, a brother, Russell L. Dixon of Pauline, six grandchildren, Steven M. Derrick, II of Yellowstone National Park, Marshal Williams of Manassas, Virginia, Christopher Williams of Aiken, Crystal Waller of Aiken, Sue Ellen Batchelor of Alabama and Glenn Davis of Muscle Shoals, Alabama and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by two brothers, Adell Dixon and Don Dixon.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Medical Services of America and the staff, Dee Davenport, Takesha Goode, Desiree Cohen and Melissa Olsen for their loving care and compassion.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Deal officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Red Bank Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
