Thurmond Marion Rodgers, 71, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.

Born in Saluda County, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Thelma Temples Rodgers. He was owner and operator of Rodgers Used Cars and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Surviving are his companion, Jennifer B. Whittle of Saluda, three sons, Patrick Dwayne (Ashe) Rodgers and Terry (Donna) Rodgers both of Ninety Six and James Rodgers of Saluda, a daughter, Pam Shealy of Greenwood, four sister, Lois Britton of Pomaria, Edith Matthews of Leesville, Essie Mae Bledsoe of Trenton and Pauline Umbarger of Leesville, a brothers, Harvey Rodgers of Lincolnton, GA , seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rodgers was preceded in death by a brother, JC Rodgers, a sister, Catherine Mitchell and a granddaughter, Felicsha Shealy.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Tuesday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Travis Park Cemetery.
