Vara Bradley

Vara Ann Weeks Bradly, 86, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Greenwood, and the daughter of the late Pate Weeks and Isabelle McIntyre Weeks, she was the wife of Jesse Willard Bradley, Jr. She retired from Saluda Nursing Center and was a member of Saluda First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving alongside her husband are two sons, Tony Horne of Ninety-Six and Stevie Horne (Robin) of Saluda, two daughters, Norma Clark (Jared) of Greenwood and Shirley Bridges (Dennis Fry) of N.C., two brothers, Jim Weeks of Greenwood and Ernest Weeks of Ninety-Six, two sisters, Claria Turner of Kirksey and Evelyn of G.A., sixteen grandchildren, Crystal Mclead, Michelle Horne, Shannon Bridges, Wendy Bridges, Nicole Bridges, Travis Taylor, Katelyn Conner, Gavin Clark, Emma Grace Clark, Sophia Clark, Dustin Horne, Jordan Horne, Ava Horne, Courtney Clark, Kale Horne, and Abby Colson, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by a son, Michael Horne and a sister, Frances Lewis.

Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Bethany Methodist Church with Rev. Louie Murray officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the social hall.
