Vera Minick
Vera Mae Minick, 81, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, in Gassaway, West Virginia.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida and a daughter of the late Emory Woolwine and Pauline Laughren White, she was the wife of the late Ansel Minick. Mrs. Minick was retired from Wackenhut Corporation and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Christine Adair (Kenneth) of Hardy VA, Linda Mathis (Richard) of Apopka FL, and Paula Foster (Bryan) of Gassaway WV, a sister Judy Pullen of Jacksonville, FL, seven grandchildren, Jason Mathis. Judy Jenkins, Heather VanVolkenburgh, Stacy Foster, Stephen Adair, Joshua Mathis, and Bryan Foster Jr, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Minick was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Laughren.
A graveside service will be held at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerrod Marshall officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
