Virginia Goff

Virginia Ethel Hipp Goff, 101, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023.

Born on May 13, 1921 in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Holly H. and Belle Rose Shaw Hipp, she was the wife of the late Ray Ephriam Goff. She worked as an administrative assistant with Saluda School District and was a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Hascal Goff (Marsha) of Seneca, two daughters, Janice Hipp of Lexington and Jackie Sprawls of Valrico FL, one brotther-in-law, Wendell Goff (Monika) of Saluda, seven grandchildren, Sean S., Ian S., Ryan G., Lindsey G., Casey G., Ben H. and Holly S., and nine great-grandchildren, Kade H., Cooper H., Palmer H., Liv H., Ryton G., Ella Ray S., Addison S., Jordan W. and Jacob W.

Mrs. Goff is preceded in death by one brother, Rev. John Hipp, and one sister, Geneva Hipp Halfacre.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Jerrod Marshall and Dustin Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in West Travis Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 3:30 at the church.
