Wayne Mitchel Oswald
Wayne Mitchel Oswald, 76 passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Born November 1, 1945, he was a son of the late Cecil and Agnes Roof Oswald. He was a 1964 graduate of Batesburg-Leesville High School and a retired meat market manager. He enjoyed gardening and was a big fan of South Carolina Gamecock Sports.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Turner Oswald; a son, Chris Oswald (Mary Beth) of Saluda; a daughter, Kay Oswald of Saluda; a grandson, Joshua Oswald; two sisters, Delane Reynolds of West Columbia; Sylvia Allison of West Columbia; and one brother, John Drayton Oswald, Sr. of Saluda.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Coy Oswald, and sisters, Thera Corley; Leora Lewis; Macy Waters; Rachel Davis; Melverta Crummie; and Shelba McGee.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to JF Hawkins Nursing Home, 1330 Kinard Street, Newberry, SC 29108, or the Alzheimer's Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210.
