Wayne Riddle
Wayne Herlong Riddle, 78, died Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.
Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Otha "Rock" Riddle and Dolly Mae Herlong Riddle, he was the husband of Janice Warner Riddle. Mr. Riddle served in the South Carolina National Guard, 122nd Engineer Company in Saluda and was a cattle farmer. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, The Saluda County Cattlemen's Associations and was a former volunteer fireman with Mayson Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Warner Riddle, a daughter, Brittani Powers (Jake) of Lexington, two granddaughters, Henley Powers and Elaree Powers and a special friend, Darin Shealy.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m., at Ramey Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Mayson Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Lee Going officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mayson Fire department, 7370 Fruit Hill Road, Saluda, SC 29138 or to the Saluda County Cattlemen's Association, Att. Wayne Riddle Memorial, P.O. Box 218, Saluda, SC 29138.
