Weyman Ouzts

Weyman Neal Ouzts, 68, of Saluda County, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday January 31, 2024, near his home.

Born January 24, 1956, in Shreveport, LA, he was the son of the late Roy Ouzts and Ruth Nance Ouzts. Weyman graduated from Saluda High School, and Piedmont Tech where he earned an Associate degree in Business Administration. Several years later he earned a diploma in welding, working in that field until he retired. He loved writing poems and essays. He was a volunteer for the Edgefield County Senior Citizens Council and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Weyman is survived by; a sister Carolyn (Jerry) Forehand of Panama City, FL, and four brothers; Gerald (Tonia) Ouzts of Russellville, AR, Roy Milburn Ouzts of Easley, SC, Douglas (Tammy) Ouzts of Saluda, SC, Dave Ouzts of Minneapolis, MN; two very special cousins, Lawrence Ouzts and Lamar Johnson; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Mt Carmel Road Greenwood, SC 29646 with the Rev. Donny Black officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
