William Earl Gibson, 71, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
Born May 10, 1943 in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Harold "Hoot" and Lucille Bradley Gibson. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He worked for 30 years with Gibson Construction and was owner of Gibson Trucking Company for 17 years.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Yevonne Shealy Gibson, a daughter, Monica Gibson Bradley (Joe) of Saluda; three grandchildren, Kerri, Karli and Joey; a special daughter Kim Crouch; five brothers and two sisters, Paul Nelson Gibson (Elizabeth), John Gibson (Shirley), David Gibson (Daisy), Mable Robertson (Randy), Maynard Gibson, Debra Case (Rod) and Simon "Slick" Gibson (Linda) .
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Freeman and Rev. Dan Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Clara Riley, 242 Bethany Church Rd., Saluda, SC 29138.
