Wilrose Trotter Rodgers, 90, died Friday, September 22, 2017 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late William Clarence and Rose Hawkins Trotter, she was the wife of the late William Dooley Rodgers. Mrs. Rodgers was retired from Saluda Shirt Plant and Quality Stitching and was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Claudette Rodgers Elders (Richard) of Ward, a brother, Larry Trotter of Saluda, four grandchildren, Becky Elders, Ben Rodgers, Beth Corder (Jamie) and Billy Elders (ReGina) and four great-grandchildren, Max, Avery, Dallas and Beth Corder.

Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by a son, Gary Rodgers and a brother, Frank Trotter.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Riley and the nurses and staff of the Wise Unit at Saluda Nursing Center for all their care and affection.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8p.m., Sunday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Monday September 25, 2017 at St. Williams Catholic Church with Father Rodolfo Lache-Avila and Father Robert Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
