Windy Addy

Windy Deneice Neal Addy, 56, passed away April 8, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare Greenwood, SC.

Born in Greenwood and a daughter of Grace Butler Pope and the late James Thomas Neal, she was the wife of Ricky Carl Addy. She was an employee at Ascend in Greenwood for 32 years and most recently served as a SAP Coordinator and Scheduler. Mrs. Windy found her greatest joys in the simple pleasures of life. Camping beneath the open sky is where she felt most at home. Her love for the wilderness extended to the thrill of deer hunting. Amidst her adventures in the great outdoors, her heart remained anchored to her grandchildren. Her love for them knew no bounds.

Surviving alongside her husband are two sons, Brent Addy (Rachel) and Jason Addy (Melissa), a mother, Grace Pope (Kenneth), a brother, Russell "Rusty" Neal, two grandchildren, Walter Addy and James Addy, a father-in-law, Carl Addy, all of Saluda, and her best friend of 27 years Ann Cole (Matt) and their daughter Tamara of Honea Path, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and sisters /brothers-in-laws.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., on Thursday evening, at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Burton Campbell officiating.
