Winona B. Smith, 81, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Gaines and Sudie Bryan Boone, she was the wife of Bruce Smith. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was a charter member of Saluda Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery. She was a dedicated wife and mother.

Surviving are her husband, Bruce Smith, a daughter, Lisa S. Dorn (Watson) of Edgefield, two sons, Brad Smith (Dawn) and Stephen Smith both of Saluda, two brothers, Gaines Orin Boone of Irmo and Wayne Boone (Shirley) of Saluda, a sister, Ilene Davis (Buck) of Saluda and four grandchildren, Daniel Dorn, Courtney Dorn, Jacob Smith and Helen Smith.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a brother, William "Bo" Boone and a sister, Lois B. Perry.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Saluda Baptist Church with Rev. Stacey Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
