Marie Edwards

Winton Marie Foster Edwards, 86, died Sunday, February 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Born in Augusta, GA and a daughter of the late Fred Wayne Foster, Sr. and Marian Juanita Key Foster, she was the wife of the late Walter Hoyt Edwards, Sr. Mrs. Edwards was a mother, grandmother, homemaker and part owner and operator of Edwards Auto Service. She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Walter Hoyt Edwards, Jr. (Brenda) of Johnston, three daughters, Vickie L. Edwards (Steven) of Augusta, GA, Shelly Powell of Saluda and Beth Edwards Morelock (John) of Fountain Inn, three sisters, Helen McWhorter of Columbia, Sybil Agers of Martinez, GA and Kay Tuggle of Dacula, GA, and three grandchildren, Whitney Lattin (Devin), Emilie Burt (Tery) and Jared Edwards.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Foster, Jr. and her sister, Marian Harmon.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11 am, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Davis officiating. Due to COVID-19, the family asks those attending to practice social distancing and to wear masks.
