Obituary

Wyman Wannamaker Adams passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the age of 77 at Self Regional Healthcare. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, September 9, 2021 in the former Gassaway Church Cemetery in Saluda, SC with Rev. William Hightower officiating. Social distancing will be observed and masks are requested.

A lifelong resident of Saluda, SC, Mr. Adams was born September 4, 1944 to the late Earl Adams and Winnie Bledsoe Adams of Saluda. He was owner of Adams Seed Cleaner, Inc. for 33 years, and a loyal and dedicated member of Gassaway United Methodist Church all his life, attending until his health declined.

Mr. Adams is survived by his loving wife, Edna Adams of Greenwood. He will be missed dearly by three sons, Keenan Adams of Saluda, Brock Adams (Michael Lewis) of Greenwood and Matthew Adams (Malinda Goff) of Saluda. He also leaves behind six sisters and two brothers: Betty Barr-Ausnehmer of Aiken, Joyce Brown (Dewey) of Lexington, Jean Grice of Springdale, Virgil Adams (Joyce) of Chapin, Margaret Williams (Bill) of Chapin, Judy Frye (Marion) of Leesville, Brooks Adams (Ginger) of Saluda, and Rita Malyreck of Chapin. Papa will also be dearly missed by his three grandchildren who he loved very much: Keena Adams of Pearland, TX, and Gannon and Landen Adams of Saluda.
