Zelma Sibauste Shore, 88,
Zelma Araceli Sibauste Shore, 88, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 at Saluda Nursing Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Panama City, Panama and a daughter of the late Francisco J. Sibauste, Sr. and Elisa Folling-Lombana, she was the wife of the late John Charles "Johnny" Shore, Jr. Mrs. Shore was a devoted homemaker and a faithful member of The Episcopal Church of the Ridge, where she attended regularly for as long as she was able to drive. In later years, she attended Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her flowers, cutting grass, and dancing. Mrs. Shore had a compassionate heart for animals and brought numerous strays into her home. She was proud of her Panamanian heritage and enjoyed sharing stories from her home country.
In her final days, she made her home at Saluda Nursing Center where she received exceptional care. She shared her fiery, loving spirit with all the employees and quickly began to make sure each one of them knew they were "her girl".
Surviving are five children, Jennifer Shore Conner (Todd) of Kansas City, MO, John C. Shore, III (Tammie) of Saluda, SC, Carol Havid (David) of Piedmont, SC, Terri Myers (Don) of Hanahan, SC, and Diana Mills (Jerry) of Oak Island, NC, ten grandchildren, Olivia, Peyton, Sarah, David Jr., Brad, John, Jason, Stephanie, Andrew, Catherine, numerous great-grandchildren, and her very special furry companion, Mona.
Mrs. Shore was preceded in death by a brother, Franciso "Frankie" Sibauste, Jr. and a sister, Yolanda Sibauste de Worthington.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 101 N. Calhoun Street, Saluda, SC 29138.
A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2026 at Hillcrest Abbey East, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA 31404
